Previously...

"A little..." Sasuke said and yawned. "I'm going to go put my night-clothes on." he said and went to change.

Sakura grabbed her night gown and went to change as well. When she went to the bed, Sasuke was already asleep. She laid down next to him and pulled the comforter over them. 'He's so tired that he didn't even lay down on the pillow', she thought to herself. She carefully lifted Sasuke's head and put the pillow underneath and then laid him back down. She kissed him gently. "Good night, Sasuke-kun." she whispered against his lips. She brushed his hair off his face to make sure he wasn't pale. She saw that he wasn't and buried her face in his neck. In minutes, she was fast asleep.

Present...

When Sasuke woke up the mext morning, Sakura wasn't there. 'She's probably already up getting breakfast' he thought. He looked around and sure enough, Sakura was sitting on a branch, a small plate of Dangos on her lap.

"Good morning, Sasuke-kun!" she said cheerfully. "Get a good night's sleep?" she was still in her night gown and her hair was a bit ruffled.

She had never looked so beautiful to Sasuke. He got up and went over to sit on the branch with her.

Sakura smiled at him. She gave him a Dango. "I used to eat these when I was a little girl" she said. She looked at Sasuke again and laughed. She hadn't noticed Sasuke's hair at first.

"What?" Sasuke asked. He was confused. 'What is she laughing about?' he wondered. He didn't mind. He thought her laughter was cute.

Sakura was still laughing. "Sasuke-kun, look at your hair!" she almost fell off the branch laughing. She handed Sasuke a small mirror. "See for yourself", she said. She had finally stopped laughing.

Sasuke took the mirror. He looked at his reflection. "Aaaahhh!" he screamed. "I'm scarred for life!" he looked at Sakura, who was laughing again. She stopped immediately.

"You look a little like Naruto when your hair is like that", she said softly. She jumped off the branch and grabbed Sasuke's comb. She looked back at Sasuke. "Come here, Sasuke-kun. I'll fix it." she said holding up the comb. Sasuke walked over and sat down in front of her.

Sakura started to carefully brush Sasuke's hair. "Let me know if I pull too hard." she said. She kept brushing his hair. The comb went through Sasuke's hair easily and it wasn't long before it started to look normal. "Almost got it" she said more to herself than to Sasuke.

Sasuke sat, making a bracelet out of cherry blossoms while Sakura brushed his hair, not saying anything. He was thinking about something really important. 'I want to be with her always.' he thought to himself. 'Should I ask her...?'

"Surprisingly enough", Sakura said suddenly. "The comb goes right through your hair..." her sentence trailed off. A few minutes later she said, "Sorry about laughing, Sasuke-kun." she put down the comb and started shaping Sasuke's hair into spikes. "All done!" she said, satisfied.

"Cool." Sasuke said. "Sakura...Sorry for making you feel bad. To be honest it was kinda funny." he smiled at her. She smiled back.

"Take a look, Sasuke-kun", she said, handing him the mirror. She watched Sasuke as he looked at his reflection. She fixed one of the spikes. "Now, it's done." Sakura hugged Sasuke.

"Do you like it?" she asked. "I tried to make it look exactly the way it was." She went to put the comb away. Then, she walked back over to Sasuke.

"Sakura..." he said. "I love it. It looks exactly the way it was." he hugged her hard. "Now it's my turn." he said mischievously. He went to grab Sakura's brush. He came back and saw that she was confused.

"What do you mean?" she asked, eyeing the brush, although she had a good idea of what the answer would be. She smiled at Sasuke. 'This is going to be fun' she thought to herself.

"You fix my hair, I fix yours!" Sasuke said jokingly. He saw Sakura's worried expression and smiled encouragingly. "I promise, I won't make you look silly. I'll make your hair look the way it always is...unless you want a haircut..." he looked at Sakura. "I could cut your hair if you want. I don't want you to get caught on a branch and end up pulling your own hair out, so can I give you a haircut?"

(A/N: lol. did anyone else know that Sasuke was a barber? just kidding. he's just worried about Sakura.)

"Well..." Sakura said. 'He promised he wouldn't make me look silly', she thought to herself. "Okay...Just not too short, though. Shoulder-length should be good." she said, smiling nervously at Sasuke. She knew that she could trust him with cutting her hair and she knew that he would do a good job...And he did.

It was over in minutes. He had gathered all of her hair together and cut it exactly shoulder-length with his kunai. It was all even. She didn't even have to fix up the ends.

Sakura looked in the mirror. "It looks great!" she said happily. She ran over to Sasuke and kissed him on the cheek.

"You missed", Sasuke said teasingly. He smiled at Sakura.

"What do you mean?" she asked, confused. She had no idea what he meant.

"You missed." Sasuke said again and he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her gently on the lips. He felt her arms go around his neck and she kissed him back.

Eventually, Sasuke pulled back. "I have something for you." he said. He gave Sakura the bracelet of cherry blossoms that he had made. She smiled at him.

"I love it, Sasuke-kun." Sakura said. "It's beautiful!" she looked at Sasuke and she knew that he had something else on his mind. "Sasuke-kun is there something else you need to talk about?" she asked.

"Sakura..." Sasuke said nervously. 'How do I ask her?' he wondered. "I-I love you very much and I want to be with you for the rest of my life. So I guess what I'm asking is...Sakura, will you marry me?" he looked away, afraid to look at her face.

Sakura was shocked. She didn't expect Sasuke to ask her something like this when they were both still so young. 'I love him too' she thought to herself. 'I want to be with him forever.'

Sakura looked at Sasuke. "I-I...Sasuke-kun..." she said, fumbling with her words. "I love you too and I want to be with you and no one else for the rest of my life." she saw that he was still looking away. "Sasuke-kun, please look at me." she said.

Sasuke looked at her. Sakura held his face in her hands and whispered words that would change Sasuke's life forever. "Of course I'll marry you, Sasuke-kun."

Sasuke smiled and tears welled up in his eyes. Sakura hugged him hard and Sasuke buried his face in her neck. He was crying, but she knew that it was because he was happy.

"Thank you, Sakura." he said, his voice muffled against Sakura's neck. "After all these years, I'll finally have a family again." he pulled back and looked at Sakura. She smiled and kissed him.

"Sasuke-kun you've always had a family." she said against his lips. She pulled back. "You're my family. You always have been." suddenly she heard a noise outside.

Sasuke heard it too and they both went to investigate. They both looked around. Suddenly Sakura gasped and jumped out of the tree and took off running towards her mother. She reached her mother and hugged her hard.

"Mother!" she said happily. "You came to visit." she said as Sasuke came running up behind her.

"Of course I did!" her mother said, hugging her. She looked at Sakura more closely. "You got a haircut?" she asked.

"Yes!" Sakura said. "Sasuke didn't want my hair to get caught in the tree branches, so he asked me if I would let him cut it. I let him and it turned out great! Do you like it?" she asked.

"I love it, Sakura" her mother said. "Sasuke did a great job."

She looked at Sasuke. She let go of Sakura and went to him. "So you're the young man that my daughter fell in love with." she said. She hugged him. "Welcome to the family." she said and whispered, "Sakura told me everything. You're not alone anymore."

Hesitantly, Sasuke hugged her back. "Mrs. Haruno...Thank you." he said nervously.

"Mother, do you want to see our new home?" Sakura asked, tugging at her mother's hand. "Me and Sasuke worked hard on it. And we also have some good news to tell you."

"I'd love to see it, Sakura." she grabbed Sakura's hand and Sakura grabbed Sasuke's hand and they all started walking towards the tree.

Sakura went into the tree and helped Sasuke up. Sasuke reached down and helped Sakura's mother. Once Sakura's mother was up in the tree she looked around.

"Wow..." she said. "When you said you were going to live in the cherry blossom tree you weren't kidding...It looks beautiful. You both did a great job." she smiled at Sakura and Sasuke.

"Mother we have some good news." Sakura said excitedly. She waited until her mother was paying attention.

"What's the good news?" her mother asked.

"We're getting married!" Sakura and Sasuke said at the same time. "Sasuke-kun proposed to me, Mother. I said yes."

Her mother hugged them both hard. "I'm so happy for both of you!" she said happily. "Sasuke is the right person for you, Sakura." she said looking down at her daughter. She looked down at Sasuke, who was looking at Sakura and smiling. Sakura's mother leaned down and kissed him on top of his head. Sasuke looked up at her and smiled. "Take care of Sakura for me", she said.
