Mother Christmas To The Rescue:
Far far away in Lapland in the snowy grotto lived Father Christmas and Mother Christmas. But sadly Father Christmas was not feeling too well on the eve before his long trip to deliver presents to all the children across the world.
“I must go and prepare my reindeer for my journey tomorrow!” Father Christmas sniffled.
Mother Christmas glared at him.
“What?” he asked.
“You’ll be doing no such thing my dear! You’re unwell and are in no fit state to travel and must rest !” she ordered.
“But if I don’t go how will the presents get delivered?” Father Christmas queried.
“I will do it ! Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I can’t ride a sleigh and deliver presents!” Mother Christmas replied.
Mother Christmas waited until Father Christmas was fast asleep. Then off she went into the night sky delivering the children’s presents.
When she arrived back at the grotto she filled a large tin with mince pies and wrapped it up and put it under the Christmas tree.
The next morning Father Christmas woke up feeling much better.
“Merry Christmas my love!” he chuckled.
Mother Christmas smiled.
“Merry Christmas, there’s a present under the tree for you dear!” she told him,
Father Christmas went to the tree and picked up his present and opened it.
“Ho! Ho! That’s so sweet!” he grinned.
“I knew you’re fond of mince pies so I saved you some!” said Mother Christmas with a smile.
