My Review on the Doctor Who Christmas Special 2017:

This is my review on the Doctor Who Christmas Special 2017. The episode was called Twice Upon a Time. In this episode the first doctor who was played by William Hartnell meets his future doctor self played by Peter Capadali. The first doctor is having doubts about regenerating so that he cannot die. They meet each other in the era of the first world war near a battlefield in 1914 where they meet a British soldier who is about to shoot his German enemy. After that both of the doctors travel in each other’s’ TARDISes. They land in a world which is full of memories from the doctors’ past along with the twelve future doctors that the first doctor will eventually regenerate into. The future doctor meets his ex-assistant Belle Potts. In the end the soldier is taken back to the time era he belongs to.
Both doctors depart from each other. The first doctor ends up collapsing on the floor and the future doctor ends up regenerating into his thirteen regeneration played by Jodie Whittaker. She ends up flying out of the burning TARDIS and the episode is left on a cliff-hanger with the thirteen regenerated doctor flying through the sky going downwards to earth. When the episode ended on that cliff-hanger it made me sad. However I have read in the newspaper that actor and TV presenter Bradley Walsh will play the role of the doctors’ assistant. I believe now that the doctor is female with a male assistant it could be very interesting. After watching the Doctor Who Christmas Special 2017 it made me wonder what will happen to the doctor as there is no TARDIS, well let’s wait and see for the next series and see what happens.
