The importance of starting and maintaining your comedy journal:

My Mallorca Holiday " (Day 4- Friday 10th June 2016)

I had such a fun day out at the blanket trip which was free as it came with our Thomson holiday package. We were seeing the views of Palmanova (a city in Mallorca) and was being told true and funny stories by our tour guide Sharon.
It was a half day trip starting from 9:20am-3:30pm. We were given a talk by Paula who was telling us about sheep wool that was taken to the factory and out it came bedding products such as mattresses, pillows, duvets and their covers; as well as massage beds, waistcoats, bath robes, and throws. It felt like being on The Apprentice (UK) as that was the sort of task Lord Alan Sugar would set his candidates to do. In the end everyone bought something including my parents as they were doing special package offers costing up to £2,000 and told us of the terms and conditions of the payment process which was music to everyone's ears!
Then in the evening there was some entertainment that had been organised by the entertainment team at the hotel we were staying at for the week. The entertainment organised was called "You Bet!" I thought we were having a casino night or something similar but no! instead we had to bet on 9 challenges to see if they were possible or not to do by putting a tick next to yes or no. the tasks were as follows.

  1. Getting 5 different people who are different nationalities on stage in a minute.
  2. Getting 40 people on a blanket in a minute.
  3. Keeping 3 balloons in the air for a minute.
  4. Throwing a ping pong ball into 3 glasses of water (one ball in each glass).
  5. Stacking 5 apples into a tower.
  6. Kicking off a shoe and making it land onto a table from a distance.
  7. Trying to eat 4 cookies by sliding them down your face and into your mouth without using your hands.
  8. Doing 200 sit-ups in 2 minutes.
  9. Getting 40 people to do the conga going around the hall and ending up on the stage.

Me and my parents thought that the entertainment team (Anna, Eulises, Jonas, and Martine) would do them but they chose members of the audience to do the tasks but they did do 3 of the tasks. Sadly we only got 4 out of 9 correct. There was then a 3 way tie for 1st place so Eulises (who was the host) gave them 1 more challenge which was to bet what the combined age was of the entertainment team, and the winning team would be one who was the nearest to the correct age.
It  was a very fun night , and was interesting as we didn't know what to expect with what the challenges were and who was doing them. I can't wait to go and see The MarineLand Animal Park. I know its gonna be a fab day out than lazying by the pool and turning yourself red as a boiled lobster. Plus our Thomson rep Emma had told us about it and recommended that we go and see it as she had been there herself and really enjoyed it! :D
