A poem I thought up while I was listening to The black Halo by Kamelot. The poem was just the picture that i saw in my head while the song was playing.

Mama, how could you?

Appear in the dead of night,

Drag me from my bed

And beat me till I bled.

Mama, how could you?

Come night after night,

Dragging me down,

With nothing, not even a frown.

Mama, how could you?

I’m black and blue,

My lifeblood runs,

Like blood red dew.

Mama, how could you?

I can take no more.

You were never like this before.

Mama, how could you?

Coming home drunk

And eating nothing but junk.

Mama, how could you?

You beat me, your little girl

And you left me for dead.

So mama, how could you?
