Everything Cries
The man here stands in the door
No doubt no more than seventeen.
Behind him, surround him the tears of the downpour
In those eyes you glimpse so many things this childs seen.
Drip, drip from his coat.
Down, drown from the crying clouds
In the sky so dark they gloat.
On the roof so loud they pound.
Little wooden cottage in the woods
Passerbyers here come by.
Inside enjoy a drink one could.
Everyone at least once sigh, everyone inside they cry.
Tonight. Tonight here is this man
Different from the rest some how.
So young, so old. Who knows who understands.
Looking for something he's not yet found.
Thought the night he sits
Never speaking, so sound he makes.
Though he looks it no chance a kid.
After him the devil has sent his snakes.
