2 people talk about a cabinet.

A Venture in Fine Cabinets by Bryan Tangtartharakul

“It is a great day because my fine cabinets are to arrive today.”

“Oh, fine cabinets you say. Tell me, what is so fine about this cabinet that you are to receive.”

“Have you ever heard of gopher wood?”

“No, I do not think I have.”

“Would you regard yourself as a fairly normal fellow?”

“I certainly would.”

“Then, you must accept that to the common man, this gopher wood is unknown. It is likely unknown because of its rareness. Because it is rare, it must be fine.”

“Rareness does not imply fineness sir. The rocks of the Galapagos islands are rare but are worth no more than the rocks found here.”

“True, but the rocks of the Galapagos islands are identical in character to the rocks found here."

“Then you are implying a special property of this gopher wood.”

“Yes, a brilliant property indeed. This wood was the very same type of wood used to build Noah’s ark. It is extremely durable to water.”

“I am quite surprised. In that case, it is very special indeed.”

“Yes, that is why I have decided to give it to you as a present.”

“Why, thank you.”

A month later

“This cabinet is no special cabinet. “

“What are you talking about.”

“I personally had this cabinet examined. I am now aware that this cabinet is made of oak and not gopher. To think that I was joyed by the fact that I held such precious furniture, I surely feel the big fall now. Your filth, your a liar.”

“You see it all wrong my friend. Let the cabinet just be a side note to my real gift. It shall be a lesson; that perception is the true reality.”
