What fun,

I'd think,

to steal her lunchbox,

what fun,

it'd be

to run away.

What fun,

I'd think,

to laugh and taunt

while running

the oppisite way.

Running

was I,

hanging the lunchbox,

on my fingertips,

taunting her to come my way.

Running

was I,

smiling and laughing,

Running

the oppisite way.

It's over,

not the game,

but lunch

is over,

I've still got the lunchbox

to play.

I walk backwards,

taunting yet again,

and trip

while walking

the oppisite way.

No,

I did not trip

over my own foot.

No,

I did not trip

over nothing.

No,

I did not trip

over something imaginary.

What I tripped over

was really

quite there.

I tripped

over a solid figure.

I tripped

over something

sitting on the ground.

I tripped over

a unknown

random guy

while taunting her

with a lunchbox

and walking

in the oppisite way.

My face?

Red and full

of laughter

and of course cheer.

His face?

Full of terror

surprise,

and of course full of fear.

Her face?

Laughing

like crazy

while she picks up her lunchbox

and I see

her while laughing, come out a little tear.

And so,

my friends,

whom I did

or did not trip over,

the lesson here,

is to always,

always,

LOOK

WHERE

YOU'RE GOING.
