When You Look At Me... What Exactly Do You See?

Poem by: SavvyApple

Summary

When you look at your friend, you might (obviously) see a friend. If you look at me, though, what do you see?

Do you see a human

a sparkle

a caring dove?

Do you see a friend

a fiend,

or perhaps true love?

Am I several images

mixed into one

or are you too blind

to see besides

what lies above?

Adventurous,

dashing,

a glowing speck,

thoughtful,

tiny,

concealed?

When you look,

straight into my eyes

find what else lies beneath

before I die.

Because what you might find,

might not still be there

so find and tell me now

there's no time to spare.

What do you see

lying beneath?

Sparkles?

Flashes?

Pure elegance?

Because what you see inside

you'll see better if you try.
