Um... I got the idea for this in Social Studies. I came up with a tune to go with it, not saying I'll remember it! We we're listening and interpreting a song of which the title I do not remember, and the "chorus" came to me. It sort of went from there...

Our world is full of contradictions

Save the trees, kill the people

Listen to the lies they whisper in your ear

Telling you you're worthless

I will scream it from the roof tops

Hear me loud and clear

I am not afraid

And I am not ashamed

This is me,

This is what I believe

This is who I am

This is who I am

You complain to those around you

Why don't you help us?!

Why don't you see the starving child next to you

Reaching for your hand

I will scream it from the roof tops

Hear me loud and clear

I am not afraid

And I am not ashamed

This is me,

This is what I believe

This is who I am

This is who I am

The world keeps spinning

And time doesn't stop.

So why do you stand there

When you can change the world?

Why do you ignore oppritunity

When it's been knocking on the door?

Just start running

And you will make a difference

We will scream it from the roof tops

Hear us loud and clear

We are not afraid

And we are not ashamed

This is us,

This is what we believe

This is who we are

This is who we are
