We see a different dad every week
sometimes, mom don't come home, she just stays in the street

We go to school, with nothing to eat
I'm trying to learn, but I'm dead on my feet
when my stomach, starts to burn

No gas I'm failing math, and my brothers, about to flunk outta class
It's to late, for him to pass

I'm to young to smoke cigarettes
but the stress, got me thinking, like them
what bill is coming next

These hand me downs be itching
the kids laugh at me in gym
so in his face ,I kept kicking

In the principals office, I heard him say
I'm sending him back to class, he's a poor kid anyways

Mature is what I try to be
but the kid in me, just wants to be free
but it is, what it is

rob me from my youth is what she did
she couldn't care for me
cause she had too many kids
