Tell me you love me

Tell me you care

Press your lips to my cheek

And then leave me there

To die alone

With but a hope

That you will return

For this lonely soul.

But hope is lost

When all falls down

And the world

Becomes so dark.

Hope is overcome.

Hope is smothered.

Like a fire that once

Burned is now

But ash in the

Cold wind...

Never again to

Be seen by the

Eyes of those

Who once believed

They are numb

And their bodies cold

No spark in their eyes

Just the remnants

Of what they once knew

They are cold, as I am

And they shall fall just the same...

Alone
