Like a fire, the sun has awoken,
The bullets are ready to soar,
The people, their warnings, outspoken.
T
oo lost in the crimes of our war.

A young boy, named Tommy, shall sit.
His hands will tremble in fear.
For murder he cannot commit,

And the thoughts, of home, won’t disappear.

His mind will travel to his mother,
Who sleeps alone in her bed.
Her heart has, too soon, lost his brother,

And his father, already, is dead.

But young Tommy will fight for your causes,
No matter in what he believes,
And although you do not care for your losses,
You should know, that families still grieve.

And when he lies dying, in the field.
Some stranger’s corpse dead, by his side.

He will cry, for he knows he cannot be healed.
And neither, can you, or your pride.

Hey Guys! Me again xD I'm once again saying that if you liked it, please BECOME A FAN/COMMENT/LIKE! xD That is, if you want to see me write more. I wrote this while listening to The Levellers - Another Man's Cause, which I think you guys should listen to too. I hope you enjoyed the poem! Thank you! xxx
