It was the first time I had left country. I was excited to go to Cancun for vacation. It was also the very first time I had been on a plane. I fell asleep on the plane, but when I woke up, I
got bored, so I read my favourite book. While I was on the plane I also looked out the window and you could see for miles.
Once I got off the plane, I head straight for the beach. I was excited to swim in salt water for the very first time. The water was crystal clear and looked so beautiful. You could see the
horizon line and fish jumping all over the place. In the distance I saw fins off the backs of sharks and whales. One whale blew water out of its blowhole.
I rushed for the water and dove straight in. I began to float remembering that it was salt water and drifted off. About 50 feet away from shore, fish were jumping all over the place near me
and a shark ate the fish near me. The shark got closer and closer; I hesitated and quickly rushed to shore. The shark started to chase after me and was catching up. I quickly looked back to see
where the shark was and when I looked, the shark jumped and opened its mouth. I could see blood squirting all over the place inside its mouth, hundreds of teeth all red and its eyes pure black. For
a second I thought this was the end for me, then all of a sudden another shark attacks the shark that was facing me.
They start to battle it out and I just swim to shore. I watch the fight from shore and it was so gruesome. One shark has teeth stuck to itself and the other has blood gouging from its
I go back to the hotel and my mom asks, “How was the beach?”
I reply, “You don’t want to know.”
