Memories

It all reminds me of you.

thinking, being, walking, talking..

even sleeping.

I cannot avoid all the parts that made a whole.

Smells that linger bring a rush of memories..

stubborn stains that no one can see.

I cannot look in the mirror without seeing..

the other half of me that lingers,

invisible...like a missing limb.

Wounds heal but pain leaves it's phantoms...

dreams grown dry in Autumn winds..

and swept away.

I know winters hardness will not stand

against springs warming breathe..

Night does not win the battle..

against the dawn of a new day.
