An angered women slams a door behind her and begins to sob uncontrollably. Suddenly a man walks in seemingly unaffected by her tears and walks toward her. “I’m sorry honey, I love you and I only wish to make you happy.” The man says as he kneels next to her. “Clearly I can’t do that anymore.” He realizes emotionlessly as he sits in a chair close to him. “I love you too, but I just can’t do it anymore.” The women says as she fights through the tears. “You just don’t feel anything...hell I just told you I cheated on you and what’d you say ‘You’re okay with it.’ that makes no sense!” She exclaims as she goes into tears once again, “What do you want from me?” The man says as he ponders what she say. “What do you want me to feel, do wish for me to get...angry, sad,...” “I WANT YOU TO FEEL SOMETHING!” She yells interrupting him as she stands up in anger. “Sometimes I wonder what goes on in your head. Sometimes I wonder if anything makes you happy.” She confesses “Sometimes I wonder if you ever even loved me.” She whispers out immediately regretting her words hoping he didn’t hear...but of course he did. “Excuse me? He says as he awaits a response, but she remains silent. “What did you just say? He tries again hoping she won’t ignore another request. “Nothing forget, you wouldn’t understand.” She says trying to distract him. He walks up to her close and menacingly. He thrusts forward and pins her arms to the wall. He stares at her for a moment and then forces a kiss upon her lips startling her. He breaks the kiss and leans in so his lips are right next to her ear. “I have always loved…since the day I met you.” He says as he lets go of her arms and sits back in his chair. She stands there stunned for what seems like ages. Eventually she comes back to her senses and begins to walk towards him. “Then why don’t you feel it.” He looks at her deep into her angelic eyes as a single tear falls from his eye. “I must explain something to you and you must listen to me thoroughly and please try not interrupt.” She does not like when he says this, just assuming she’d interrupt, but decides to let it go as he continues. “Can you please do that for me?” He finishes. She nods in agreement as she is not sure what to expect. “In this world I have learnt many things,” He begins rubbing his eyes as he has been dredging saying this ever since they met. “The things you are asking me to do is in my opinion are for lack of a better word...pointless.” She opens her mouth to rebut this claim, but she remembers her promise not to interrupt and lets him continue. “Emotions like anger, sadness and fear are pointless. I have spent my life trying to control these worthless things.” He explains hoping she’ll understand. “ I do not feel these emotions by choice...I don’t feel these emotions out of necessity.” He finishes waiting for her response. “So...you don’t love me.” She says trying to make sense of it all. He stares at her for a moment trying to see where he went wrong and finally says. “I never said that.” As he places her hand tenderly upon her cheek. She leans into his touch for only a moment and then pushes it away. “You just said emotion are useless, that love is useless.” She exclaims as she stands up trying not to be seduced by his touch again. He stands up and followers her movements keeping a mindful distance. “I never said that.” He says again hoping to explain better. She turns and looks at him confused as she didn’t understand what else he could have meant.” “I said that I don’t feel emotions like hate, fear and sadness how…” “And love...and happiness.” She says interrupting him. “Again that’s not what I said...now will you let me continue?” He asks not getting a response so he continues unabated. “I don’t feel emotions like anger, fear and jealousy as they are crippling and pointless” He says pausing for a moment to get closer to her. “I feel only two emotions as they are the only two that are worth showing.” He says getting even closer hugging her from behind. She reluctantly allows him to do so and he whispers into her ear. “I only feel love and happiness as they give my life purpose and fulfillment…” He says as he spins her and steals a quick yet passionate kiss. “and I feel both when I am around you.” He says as his lips leave the comfort of hers. “I love you...I am so sorry I cheated on you.” She says with tears of joy dripping down her face. “It’s okay I forgive you,” He says embracing her in a loving hug. “I love you.” He says.
