More than you might expect from a person of my level of emasculation. I chase romance even more than that preconceived notion people chase down the aisle of a church. I chase it in different directions than everyone else. Sometimes I wonder if people understand what the word really means. Whatever it means to you, I know what it means to me. To me romance is when a walk you take everyday reaches that special boundary of time, where it changes in your conception of it. It feels special. It changes with the seasons and it feels like a walk through a memory. To me romance is looking up at the sky on a moonlit night, and losing touch with everything around you that is bound by earthly limitations, everything everywhere except out there, everything except the stars. Romance is an anniversary with a dear friend, or a dear lover or anyone or anything that ever meant everything. More importantly romance is realising that time and distance are both completely extraneous in their ability to hold our spirit engines back, provided our fuel is right. Romance can mean much more than what oxford says. What counts is how it settles with our souls.
