An Unborn Dream

Numb and hidden away
Deep within the recesses of the mind
Are dreams, once so full of life...
Now waiting in the darkness
To be snuff out like a beacon
And die with ultimate sorrow.

Oh, so crushed and broken
Yesterdays and todays merged into one
A long, unending, recurring dry spell
Sucking out life, suffocating and crushing.
The spirit is battered and I go insane
Cry, beg, plead for all these to end.

Aspirations, Intentions, Decisions-
All aborted in a flash
The world comes to an end...
My world, breaks up into a thousand pieces-
And all I’m able to do is fall on my knees
Gather the pieces and hold them close...to a bleeding heart.
