There was once an old man who was walking down a forest path. As he walked, he took in everything from the swaying trees and the breeze that moved them, to the chirping of the birds and the light buzzing drone of the insects that complimented his every step. The feeling of the warm sun above and the clouds that passed to bring moments of shade reminded him of a life led with purpose.
Upon coming to an unexpected crossroad he paused to look at his feet while he considered the direction he should go. At his feet, he noticed a pebble. As he bent to pick it up, something odd came to his attention...Everything stopped. All but him and his thoughts were paused in time. A slight, withered smile came over his face. A knowing glimpse into his future flashed in his minds eye. With a resolved step he chooses his direction.

...doubt lingers.
