Livin’ Life
Everywhere there’s silence. Not even the remnants of frolicking children could be heard or remembered. There is nothing left but aging all alone. That’s some ones worst fears isn’t it? For Emmeline it’s a different story. This young soul’s worst fear is not living enough.
It is true that her own three children are grown. Also true, her grandchildren have surpassed that running around with toys stage. So what if she’s all alone in her house. This 67 year old still enjoys dancing to Elvis Presley now much like she did when he was alive. Anything you may manage to think of, this elderly lady does it. “There’s a first time for everything.” is the motto that greets us as we walk up to her home.
There aren’t too many grandmother’s that want to keep on keepin’ on. It would usually takea tragic diagnosis to realize they’re living life on the sidelines. When asked what sparked her flame to live, she responds wholeheartedly with “Sweety, my eyes to the world and all its fun have been open since I was born!” We may all benefit from Emmeline Lenard’s outlook. Her grandchildren sure do.
Speaking to the eldest, “My grandma is one hell of a lady. My friends’ grandparents just sit around. It seems that when we visit, it’s her doing the asking about what we’ll be doing. Quite frankly, grandma Emmy will never die!”
It’s quite evident the eldest grandson, Jordan, 17, simply adores his grandma. The younger ones let him do the talking but piped in with their “yeah”s.These were the kids who put their relatives name in our “Know Someone Amazing?” contest.
Back to this winner of our contest though: Emmeline Lenard is now able to do the things she couldn't afford to do. She's going to take her motto of "live life to the fullest" to "live life to the extremes." That's right folks. You've gotten the chance to read about this lady's life. Now we're giving her the opportunity to do some extreme things and have them recorded for a small television slot airing August 16th at 7:30 p.m.
Just what will she be doing? Well, we first had to ask what this daredevil hasn't done. Living in a very dry and farmland area, she of course did the deed of cowtipping (as a young teenager of course.) She's also taken part in bull riding (the real kind.) Again, this was at a time pre-arthitis. However, it's also because of her dry surroundings that she's missed out on swimming with dolphins or rock climbing. Since we're going up a notch in this woman's activities, we are giving her the chance of a lifetime to go to Austrailia to swim with...sharks. Also keeping it extreme, we are letting her take us there. Emmeline is getting the job of flying a private jet overseas. Lessons will be provided of course.
We won't be giving away everything though. You can keep in touch via our Daily Dealings website.
