The Rapture Scriptures

from the NIV

John 14:1-3 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust in me also. In my Father's house are many rooms, if it were not so I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

Romans 8:18-19 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation awaits in eager expectation for the Son of God to be revealed.

I Corinthians 1:7-9 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ, God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord is trustworthy.

I Corinthians 15:51-53 Listen, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we shall be changed--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality.

Philippians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await and Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who by the power that enables Him to bring everything under control will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.

Colossians 3:4 When Christ, who is your life appears then you shall appear with Him in glory.

I Thessalonians 1:10 ...and to wait for His Son from heaven whom He raised from the dead--Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those whom have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to Him...

2 Timothy 6:14 I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom.

2 Timothy 4:8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me but also to all who have longed for His appearing.

Titus 2:13 ...while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

Hebrews 9:28 Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

James 5:7 -9 Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too be patient, and stand firm because the Lord's coming is near. Don't grumble against each other, brothers, as you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door.

1 John 2:28 And now, dear children continue in Him, so that when He appears we may be found confident and unashamed before Him at His coming.

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked and there before me was a door standing open in Heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said "Come up here!"

Revelation 2:25 Hold on to what you have until I come.

Revelation 3:10-11 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have so that no one will take your crown.

Revelation 22:7 Behold! I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.

Revelation 22:20 Yes, I am coming soon!
