Don't you hat eit when someone asks you to explain yourself, or "tell me who you are"? Where do you start? Well my creative writing teacher asked us to write of ourselves, and here's what i came up with.

Taking a Breather
It’s hard to write of joy
when you’re not happy with much.
I do enjoy temporary things,
Like food and flowers and such.

I suppose I can tell you my hobbies?
Okay.
I enjoy hiking, even running, and biking.
I love the flavor of mountains,
the rocky and earthy taste.
I love the ache in my illegitimate lungs
and the pounding in my feet.
I love the burning in my thighs
and the wind through my bright, silky hair.
These are things I do well, I’m terrible at
and do all the time respectively,
all the while, still enjoying them.

I suppose I could tell you my hobbies?
Okay, I will.
I enjoy writing, even drawing and biting.
I love the power of words,
of ink on a page, on parchment.
I love mind-filled doodles.
Sketches that have heart, have meaning to me.
I love sinking my teeth into
something new, whatever it is.
These are things I do well, I’m terrible at
and do all the time respectively,
all the while, still enjoying them.

I suppose I should tell you my hobbies?
Fine.
I eat, I live, I sleep.
These are things I do well, I’m terrible at
and do all the time respectively,
all the while, still enjoying them.
Anything else?
