Undocumented Adoption
I watch their every step, every move they make.
I take tabs on their activities, every breath they take.
The husband got home at 5, a little late this time.
The wife had a lot to say, yelling seemed to be fine.
The son of 16 years old, really like to fight
But the daughter of the same age, only like to write.
They were twins and I was starved, they didn't even know me.
Why, I am only 36, is age such a misery?
I would entice them with riches and carefulness unlike any other man.
The world would never see them, until I was happy again.
I got two for the price of one because they learned how to love.
They stayed at their own leisure, they were the children I'd been dreaming of.
They said they'd seen me staring through the glass.
They knew my intentions and felt bad, they wanted to leave their past.
Their parents were abusive and I only wanted a family.
They were my life now and I was theirs, we could never be as happy.
My two children hid for years but grew up to be known as great!
I died a happy father and I loved that this was my fate.
