The Invitation
Trapped
Within that shadow
Of self-doubt.
The Great Houdini
Could not escape.
Tangled in obscurity.
Afraid.
Afraid of letting go.
Afraid of that
Which shines within.
Your diamond
In the rough.
Become an archeologist
Of the soul.
Excavate
Your ecstasy.
Step from behind
That shadow
Of self-doubt.
Create brilliance.
The likes of which
Others
Only dream about.
Stride
From behind
That public gaze.
The masquerade
Is over.
Sway
To a passion
That ignites your soul.
Ya feel the glow?
The rhythm moves
In waves
Of reds
And blues.
Create your own
Brilliance.
Reclaim yourself,
Your legacy,
And join me.

Mon, January 15th, 2007 6:30amWell written and simply put.
Sparse in it's presentation. Unusual.
Might benefit from greater use of rhyme and rhythm.
Do whatever you think is best.
Happy trails,
Ed Bradley.
