I wrote this for a friend.

The stars where I live shine as bright as the sun

but how could Icompare them for they will never be seen together

For stars are messengers of the gods at night that tell of battles lost and won

and the sun is the god himself they are as different as a stone and a feather

The stars are like drops of golden champain spilled acrossed the sky

They gleam above and seem to wink and dance for they have watched for centuries and now

way of man

They are doomed to watch again the way we cheat and lie

knowing that's the way it was planed

One day little ones you'll know the truth but now your way to young

For life for you is just a game a way of having fun

So count the many stars and wish with all your might on those across the sky are flung

for one day you might be one of the few chosen
