We all feel trapped and alone, one way or another. I like to think of pain as a river, and hopes? They fall like rain...

Silence all around

I can feel its hauting presence

Heave, thick and black

Whispering, "Dont ever turn back"

Conciousness drained...yet, still aching for more

Redemtionlies beyond the blood-red door

My gaze focused downward

Only to see thisperson whoI used to be

Now, only a broken fragment of a girl stares back at me

Reflecting in a neverending river of pain-stained dreams

We are forever drowning in our tears

Suffocating in our ever present fears

Holding on to what asperations we have left

Insanity takes control...or are we just alone?

Scorched by a burning desire to feel alive

Frost-bitten by our cold-hearted wish to survive

We drink this wine which now falls from the stars

Reminidng us of our self-destructive scars

The thorns pierce my worn feet...

Each step growing heavier

Steps leading to nowhere

Only wishing they will end up somewhere

Somewhere good, somewhere right

Our souls no longer left to fight
