A response to a video of artwork done by Monkmus for the song, "I Will Follow You into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie.

Devotion in its smallest form

albeit short in life--

gives life to me.

A simple sketched rabbit

and bunny, turn timeless

love that rivals any I have seen.

Darkness no longer

fades to fear and I

no longer fear loving.

A peaceful melody,

paired with pencil scratches

leave me forever wondering...

"Love of mine,

Someday you will die..."

yet not one second will pass

that you are not with me.

This will sound creepy, but I've missed you. Ahhh so that's what the cute bunny is in your image. I wondered why you replaced the reflection one you used at first. This poem is very like a pencil sketch - so few strokes and yet so masterfully complete. Bravo.

Aw thank you. The video that inspired this piece is very powerful and an amazing piece of art. There is no real way to match it so all I can do is pay homage to it.
