I have headed out towards a life of misery and loneliness.

How could I have done this to myself? Why would I want this...

these notches on the button of my jeans?

Names! Oh, no names would ever grace my lips, nor theirs.

No reality or formalities need to be linked to the sin.

Bruises on my hips from a mistaken trust.

Blood is rushing down my thighs and I deny the comforts

that it may not have been my fault.

It is my fault for taking on and taking in so many.

One was bound to take it too far.

Now I lay in a black back seat-- awaiting him

to make my artery bleed.

How will I be discovered? In pieces? Below underpasses?

Bloated, face down like a morbid buoy?

Or worse, alive?
