My path falls ahead of me
with great big "THUMPS".
No graceful jaunt is awaiting,
which leaves my throat in lumps.
I hide in my house awhile
just staring out the window
my reflection sneaks in a smile
as memories collect on the floor.
I have ridden horses in rich wine country
and I have taken a (too young) drink or two.
Made love without truly loving
and tasted life anew.
So as my reflected face
falls over images outside,
on trees, rocks and some places
unknown that I am bound to find...
a sense of will and "can do"
warms my muscles up for more.
My soul travels down to my shoes
to let me power out the door.

Fantastic. You really can flourish in any style. It's a gift.
