A little poem that came from a nightmare I had a while back.

Alone do I sit in a dark and empty room.

Surrounded in a deafening silence and suffocating gloom,

I close my eyes and begin to cry.

I wish that I had the chance

to tell you goodbye.

Sadly, I fear that you will

never see nor hear from me again.

The seconds slowly tick by,

and my fear is steadily growing greater and greater.

Ba-da, ba-da, ba-da goes my heart

as I wait for them to come.

Them with their monsterous goals and plans.

Them with their phony smiles.

Them with their cruel dark eyes.

Them with their lies and false promises.

Them with their razor sharp knives.

Them with their unknown and hurtful poisons.

Them with their white coats.

Them with their instruments of pain.

I hate them.

They create pain.

They create tears.

They craete new fears.

They create anguaished screams.

They create insanity.

They create misery.

They create injuries.

They create death.

Where am I being held prisoner?

What have I done to deserve this living hell?

Who is responsible for all this pain and devastation?

Why are they doing this?

When will I find release from this painful torture?

How can they committ these vile and heinous crimes against humanity?

Clank. Clank. Clank. Clank.

I hear them coming closer and closer and closer still.

Oh god! Please don't let them come for me!

I'm not ready!

I have so much I to do still!

I have so much I've yet to say!

I have so much to live for!

My door slowly creaks open and

I'm blinded by the harshly bright light.

They are here.

Their greedy hands seize me

and drag me away.

I scream and kick and fight

until they bind and gag me.

Slowly do they walk until

their torture chamber has been reached.

Silently, I shed one last tear

and await my end.
