I grip the blade it cuts into my hand

And I know I can’t stop it since it’s never planned

But as I bleed onto the white bathroom floor

I don’t even know myself anymore.

Is this what I resort to

When I don’t want to cry?

Is this what I resort to

When I want to die?

That girl I used to be is gone

Disappearing from her dance and song

Into a world of hatred and fear

Now the silver blade is what I hold dear

And yes, I keeps a cool face

And my façade never wavers in any place

But that’s all a lie

Because in truth, I wants to die.
