I told you When you pushed
my shoulders down
my teeth caught your jaw
with a sharp snarl
If you had listened
I could have shared
I told you
Too late my fingers tangled the warp
of your hair
growling in your ear
I told you With enthusiasm
I tried to make you bleed
From the hips
your spindle fingers clawed
cloth wrenching
as I arched
I told you You didn’t care
Your nails pulling
In my ears
you muttered you didn’t care
I told you

?

On the train I peeled off the nails you broke
Chewing delicately on the cuticles
inspecting for traces of blood
I told you I was selfish
