- a little poem about regret :)

When one door is closed
Another is opened
But how can we know
If the right door was chosen
And what of the doors
Those remaining unseen
Leaving us questioning
What could have been?
And as we walk through
The doors that we trust
Are those doors we choose
Really meant for us?
Because my heart seems to be
In an unfamiliar place
And my dreams I believe
Are too difficult to chase
Now as one door is closed
Another is opened
And the doors I’ve been shown
The doors I have chosen
Have left me here
With regret in my heart
Sitting silently asking;
Do I deserve a new start?

Lady Z

Ooo, I like this poem. Yeah unfortunately we all make decisions that end up leaving us in a difficult place in life and within the mind.
Just remember what you learn from your mistakes and move on.

=] Well penned.

Just look for that open window when a door shuts. Very original and creative idea. You don't know if that door is right unless you walk through

Wow, I truly did enjoy this poem!
O, the self doubt and confidence that I myself sometimes lack.
I love the rhythem and rhyme of the poem, it is well written and relateable.
Well done.
