I know the power of words,

I know the taste of the venomous lie

as it drips off the devious, deadly tongue.

I know the thrill of spinning the web,

like a cunning spider, bringing all the players into place.

I know the pain caused by truth,

and have used it to cut people to the core.

I know the magic of the silk lies,

smooth like velvet, slipping into my victims ears

and twisting it's tendrils around their minds,

corrupting what they see.

I know all these things,

and I know the deadly price

if my lies are uncovered.

I pull at the strings,

I control the fates,

And should the web be broken,

all will tumble down.
