To me, you are my lover,
As you sit, facing me, and
Near, as you speak softly and sweetly.

In a vocal echo, that jolts
  The heart in my chest.
For now, as I look at you. My voice is silent.

I can say nothing,
  My tonque is silent, too.
As the fire under my skin, my eyes are opened to the light.

My ears hear.
  I convulse with desire.
