Death

A dark, morbid game

He comes to many, but that night to you he came

I wish

I had said, the things I should have said

But I never got the chance, before we had to roll away your bed

I carried

Your coffin, to your place of final resting

And with the prayers from the Priest, carried out the deed I’m still detesting

Your life

Was hard, beyond my understanding

But it was all brought painfully into perspective, when by your grave I cried standing

With tears

I write, this painful poem of love

We all know you are happier, in a better place watching from up above

Even though

I know, its better this way

I can’t help myself from miss you, and I will always until my dying day
