A short poem from my times of suicidal tendencies. I wrote it with a knife in my hand...

Here I lie awake
My only friend this knife
Shall I give it my pain to take
Shall I end my life

I hold it close to my chest
It hurts so much inside
Will it be easier in death
To it should I confide

All the anger is real
But my life is fake
All the pain I feel
Unto it I elate

It flows out slow
In the color of crimson
Time to know
My time has arisen

I search for the light
But none appears
I stare into night
Broken with tears

It all starts to fade
Numbness consumes
Fear wastes away
As death blooms
