So here I sit, not sure to be broken hearted

Things have not been going well since the day that you departed

I used to know the sound of a smile in your voice

But now I sit as silence screams at me with its empty noise

You said you weren’t ready to talk about it, so I guess I’ll sit and wait

But time and time again this happens, and I wonder how long this one will take

Why is it when your with me, everything seems okay

But it seems that things are falling apart because we’re so far away

I haven’t heard you’re voice, but I’ve ached for it the past four days

I miss your beautiful sound, and the way with my mind it plays

I’ll sit here patiently and wait for you, not sure what I should do

But when the smoke clears and the dust settles, truth be told, I love you
