A short one i wrote a long time ago just after the end of a very long serious relationship. I felt as if everything was falling apart, yet somehow i knew I'd be able to go on alone...

Tonight, I’ve been torn apart

You started, right at my heart

Left me confused, with nothing but tears

I cry out to God, but I doubt he hears…me

You tore me to shreds, with these last words

I lie here alone, God how it hurts

There’s nothing left now, with nowhere to go

Nothing to live for, eternally alone

Well this is goodbye, for the very last time

I really hoped it would be different, that we’d share our lives

I was a fool so deluded, stupid to believe

That a happy ending, could be meant for me

But now I’ll walk on, with no one at my side

No one to hold, and share the tears I cry

It’s all falling apart, but I have no regrets

I’ll always love you, and I’ll never forget
