Copycat copycat

We’re rats in the cage

Stealing water bottles

You call it “Rioting”

We’re fearless but unafraid

Yes I’m copycat, copycat

You people think I’m worthless

Politicians and citizens alike

I’m not ashamed

You made me feel depressed, lonely,

Crazy when it’s in my head

Tumbling dodgems collide

You punish me from day to day

I can’t get away

No, I can’t hide away.

And next you want to

put me in the slammer

No, I can’t get away

I’m stuck with this system

A circle entwining

politics and crime

I’m stuck, paralysed

I’m copycat, copycat

And no one cares…..

We have no voice

You just think I’m copycat, copycat

With your poisonous,

judgemental stare.
