You, me

I’m suffocating as you surround me

As I’m swollen and thin

You cut me down

Mess me around

Till I feel I’m not worth anything.

Now’s my turn

To make a stand

To reverse your ticking clock this time

No more of you putting me down

Hope you enjoy what you’ve done

And you trash the next one

Alone in your haunted house.

Go ahead and try to stop me now

But I will rise like a Phoenix

No, no, You can’t cut me down

Like I’m worthless, Like I’m a nothing

Like I’m a nothing

You, me

I’m rising as you surround me

I used to feel swollen and thin

And not worth anything

But I’m not like that anymore

I’m stronger much braver now

I’m a Phoenix

With wings of flame

Power, strength and might

Pulled into the fight

Hear my call

Hear my siren song

Cutting your flesh

Till I feel a little bit better

Now I’m a phoenix proud,

Passionate

Outlined in gold

With wings that sparkle like glitter

All the better without you…

All the better without you…
