Freya was standing right in the middle of the Grand Place, the central square of Brussels, when she heard her. She smiled and followed the voice that led her to a small chocolate shop on the corner of a narrow street. She walked in and saw a young woman standing by the window and hopelessly pretending to be interested in chocolate. Every now and then the young woman glanced at a young man who was helping a customer and turned away muttering something every time. Freya observed her for a while, then walked up to her, smiled and said hello. The young woman, who was a little caught off guard, smiled hesitantly and greeted Freya back.

"These chocolates are delicious," said Freya and put a second one in her mouth, "And I think I can help you with your problem." The young woman looked surprised and took a little step back, "I'm sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about." Freya smiled again, then looked deeply into her eyes and said: "Would you like to get a cup of coffee?" She couldn't explain why, but looking into Freya's beautiful green eyes she suddenly felt at ease and a cup of coffee sounded perfect.

Ten minutes later they were sitting in a small cafe drinking coffee. "So, tell me about the young man you were looking at." The young woman, who said her name was Laura, blushed and said with a nervous smile: "It's a little embarrassing, actually. You see, I don't really know anything about him, so it's kind of silly, I guess. It's just… There's something about him," she laughed a little, "I know, it's a terrible cliché, but it's true. And I just don't know how to get his attention."

Freya listened attentively and asked: "Have you ever spoken?" Laura sighed, "Yes, a little, the first time I saw him. He started working at the chocolate shop about a month ago. There wasn't anything special about the first time we met, it was just small talk. We smiled, he sold me chocolate. But before I knew it, I started going there every day after work. And every time I go there, the whole thing just looks more and more hopeless. I look at him and I see how good he is with people. And he has such a warm smile on his face even on the rainiest, typically Belgian days." Laura said those things with so much love in her voice, Freya couldn't help but smile.

"I desperately want to go out with him, but I'm afraid to make the first move. I've been going there every day for almost a month and he hasn't shown any sign of interest. I just wish there was a way to know if he's interested at all." And as she said that, Freya leaned forward and said: "I want you to close your eyes and take a deep breath, then open your eyes, go back to the chocolate shop and say hello to him. If he's interested, he will ask you out; if not, he'll just say hello back." Laura looked a little puzzled, but did what Freya asked her to do. When she opened her eyes, she looked around confused and disoriented wondering how she got there. Then she suddenly remembered that for some reason she really needed to go to the chocolate shop.

Tim was about to close the shop when Laura got there. He wanted to tell her they were closing, but she smiled so sweetly as she said hello, he forgot what he wanted to say. Freya looked at them from outside smiling. She whispered something and slightly blew in Tim's direction. All of a sudden Tim inexplicably got the courage to do something he wanted to do for over two weeks now. He smiled at Laura and asked if she was doing anything that evening. Laura's eyes sparkled like two stars and she felt a warm wave rushing through her body. "I thought you'd never ask."
