i like to write stories like this. i find them easy and interesting, tell me what you think :)

Cold eerie mist came crawling around the corner. As I stood there watching it I saw it forming a shape. Not knowing what was going on made me feel weak, like a spec of dust; not being able to understand the situation made matters worse. I couldn’t move, my feet felt like they were bolted to the ground; agonising pain ran through my legs and up my spine, it made me want to give up there and then but there was something about the mist that compelled me to stay calm Every inch in my body told me to move , run for my life but my legs begged to differ. Every possible thought was echoing in my head. Is it all a dream? What would happen? Would I make it out alive?

Although I couldn’t imagine what was going to happen, I had a horrible feeling that it was about to get a whole lot worse; nothing like this could ever be real so why is it happening? Especially in a small town. It seemed like a movie off the syfy channel. It just didn’t seem to fit in, like there was something missing.

Deep in my thoughts I soon snapped out when a bolt of lightening stroke the tree (over the road) causing it to set alight. I noticed that the mist had now become more of a solid. I stared at it, trying to make out what it was. Every step it took it got a bit more colour to it. With in no time  it was white with a black cloak around it. A groan (so powerful that it broke all the street lights) came for the figure. Once  I realised , it was to late.
One minute it was down the street and the next it was right in my face.
As I stared into its eyes I could see nothing but darkness and death.

I could feel it draining my life from me. . At that moment all my faith, hopes and dreams disappeared, drained out of my body ; it felt like I was a hollow shell and one touch could brake me. At that moment I never knew what to do.
I grew weaker by the minute; my body was cold and I was losing my balance. I fell to the ground and with all my energy I had left I made myself stay conscious for as long as possible.

This was my greatest fear of all, dying so young when I had a full life of adventure waiting for me. To know it could all end in the matter of seconds made my heart pound. I closed my eyes and searched for a memory that could get  me through this. I’ve made it this far and im not giving up! The end is just the beginning…
