We fell fast, we rise slow,

You say the words I don’t yet know.

Tender, sweet, poignant thoughts,

My stomach tied all up in knots.

Love rushes my skin and bones,

You leaving me hits like stones.

In my dreams, you have a starring role.

All those glances I always stole

Pay off now, I can remember your face

The way you walked with such grace.

I will always remember, I can never forget,

The way you loved me with no regret

You never held back, you showed me the world

When I heard the news I almost hurled.

Your absence leaves me empty and scarred,

But I’ll never let your memory be marred

By the darkness that seeps in from time to time,

I will join you in heaven, I now begin the climb
