I reached out for your hand,
As cold as a corpse
We started to dance,
Though our movement was forced,
Our eyes never meeting
The feelings so fleeting
I wondered what was wrong.

In a dance that slowly crept on.


Your words assured me it was naught,
but still my heart stood, distraught
I whispered the three most dangerous words
Those words that made you a part of my world
your beauty to me had been then so grand
But your eyes were as cold as your hands.


As I looked on at you with sad, empty eyes,
you told me our love was nothing but lies
that your heart was not mine to take,
and my heart you would now forsake
And that very night, I bled by the knife

Stabbing my heart so black,
The same knife that you left in my back...
