Just as clockwork the quarter sun begins its slide

People and creators about begin to hide

Away, away before their sleep

Dreaming the moon across their keep

But not I, which I am sure

To the creeping night I seek a cure

The evening shade brings anticipation

As the rest comfortably into relaxation

I plan to stampede the shadows of thought

Guided by only the moonlight brought

And make my travel to the hill beyond

To where the glistening moonlight touches the pond

Backed against the tree is where I’ll stay

Till sunlight next dawn pushes me away
