An apology poem

I have broken the chains
I have lost all of my banes
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I have forsaken all hope
I have placed my neck on the rope
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I have yet to forgive
I have yet life to live
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I have chosen to be
I have need to flee
To lose what was lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I have need to run
I have hold of none
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I have now shame
I have become lame
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I have but redemption
I have no exception
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I am now on my knees
I am pleading please
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I am a lonely wonderer
I am in need to be together
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I am nothing without you
I am but one of two
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I ask for what I don't deserve
I ask in quaking nerve
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I ask upon your feet
I ask in defeat
To lose what was once lost
I have yet to pay the cost

I have nothing to bare
I am nothing to spare
I ask to be tossed
I have payed the cost
