Mom had explained to me to remain calm, frantically twisting her honey blonde hair. Mom is only twenty nine, thirty in November, and she still looks like a college girl. She had that tan skin, bright blonde cheerleader hair, a 5 ft. 8 height, a flawless complexion, and a Southern accent. She’d grown up in Alabama…go figure. She had the perfectly filled out body, no one hated her, and she had been Prom Queen. How could she turn out to have me as a daughter? No one would believe that my mother worked as a New York cover girl magazine clothes designer. Or a ‘proficient wardrobe stylist’ as she puts it. She’s designed clothes for all kinds of celebrities that I was never allowed to meet. Madonna, Teri Bright, Toni Braxton, Celeste Moore, Angelina Jolie, Malaria Vickers, Janet Jackson, Siena Henderson, even Whitney Houston.
So anyway we ride, and then get a cab, and Mom tells him to go to the Precinct Hotel. Is she serious?
“I thought we were going to see Dad?” I’d frowned.
“We are sweetie. He’s at the hotel.” She said not looking me in the eyes. I was surprised. I knew he had money, but if he can just go to the Precinct, then where’s my pony I asked for in third grade?

Jordan Blood isn't exactly the most likely person to be picked for for kickball, or sit anywhere near the popular girls. Especially when everyone's avoiding the freaky girl who slit her wrist over the summer. But was any of this true? No. Does anyone care? Of course not. Her only friends are Victoria and Rider Lancaster, and even with Rider being the second hottest and most popular guy at their school, Jordan's popularity is even level with the nerds. Actually below.
But finding out her father was the hottest male actor in the unniverse, isn't exactly what it's cut out to be. Especially since he left their family when she was two. Now he wants to be back in her life?
And what about Zay Troy? Did he actually like her before all of this?
