A woman screams in the distance / Entangled in hurt and regret / A dark alley; uneducated hands surround her / The ground crushes her back / She cannot see; the pain reaches its climax / Hollowed by desperation and stigma, / Nowhere else to have turned to / Her only option -- her eternal mistake / A burdened sigh as the silence overcomes the world / Her brow, crinkled with confusion / As the faceless men whisper disconnectedly / A noise that should have been had long ceased to exist / They tear at her legs and cruelly grip it -- / The decaying debris of rejected life / That few seconds of visual terror tore at her heart / As they dump it into a plastic bag / She could not lie to herself : / She now achingly wanted to be a part of that tiny being's life / Her opportunity destroyed by her own ignorance / \"Mother\" -- wounds to her ears; / Like a death blow, an endless pitfall of despair / Somewhere down the street a faint sound could be heard : / The tinkling of an infant's cry.
