Across the playground you see them laughing,

 And whispering in their groups....

They come together with precision timing,

 And assemble just like troops,

Huddled in packs of three's and four's,

They share what they done today,

"I cleaned the house" "I washed the car"

"I sat on my arse all day"

If you venture this alone,

Then you should be well prepared:

To face funny looks, an evil glance,

 And long and awkward stares,

They talk behind your back,

 They whisper and they snigger,

They'll make you feel uncomfortable,

As their group grows even bigger,

The mum brigade make it clear,

You're not welcome in their midst,

This is their turf and battlefield,

When they come to collect their kids,

In anticipation you wait and wait;

For that bloody bell to ring,

Who would have known that doing school runs,

Could be such a dreadful thing.
